For you CRLS

Just when I was about to fall asleep, I chose to check my twitter and I saw that I had a reply from CRLS(Hipster Runoff).

I was called out by CRLS via twitta....well...to tell the truth, there's nothing good happening in Los Angeles. I usually don't mind buying myself concert tickets to the latest MSTRKRFT/GRLTLK/M83/HRD FST/JSTC show. But there aren't any meaningful events where I can express myself as an individual looking for his picture to be taken so it can be on the CBRSNK. Will WHPTHS go extinct in 2K9? I doubt it. This post is dedicated to you Hipster Runoff, I'll be back to normal next week. I promise.

He's ill!!!

So...I got caught up...basically. I sometimes use my brothers I.D. for "shows" and whatnot. I was texting my homie Switch™ about going out to Cinespace tonight for Dim Mak Tuesdays. Well, while going back and forth in texting, somehow one of my text messages was sent to my mom about me using my brothers I.D. to get into Cinespace. Well, that text was sent to my MOM!!!! She called me out...and no Cinespace for me tonight basically. If this happens again I'm going to get a Blackberry. Wrd.

Here's what I sent her..it's the last messaged.

ALSO!!! I'm not the only person this has happened to! Check out the pic above.

If you're buying for a "hipster" this year, make sure to check out Nicky Digital's "Hipster Holiday Gift Guide 2008". It'll help you with all your shopping needs...and it's entertaining.

Nothing like the holidays 12/3/08

So I was invited to the red carpet premiere of a movie called "Nothing Like The Holidays". This is actually my second time going to a "BIG" premiere(the first one being a Spike Lee film). Here are some iPhone pics from the event.

The premiere was held at the Mann Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. I was actually sitting two rows behind Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite.

After the movie there was an invite only after party. Wolfgang Puck catering, open bar, and bunch of known faces all around.

Towards the end of the party I even had the chance to chat it up with Sinsu Co, one of the cast member from that show "Paris Hilton's My New BFF". Chick is hella chill.

The night was great, time to rest.

Jazzi & m83 11/29/08

So my Saturday started off with me meeting up with my friend Jazzi at her new pad. Jazzi just moved back to L.A. from N.Y. two days ago and was just getting settled in.

Jazzi was choosing some new furniture with her roomate since their place is a bit empty.

While they did that, I browsed through Planet Mag, one of the companies Jazzi works for.

The original plan was for us to go to Pinks, but like always, there was a super long line. So we got hot dogs from Carneys.

After stuffing our faces, we went back to the pad to chill.

Unfortunately, Jazzi was still suffering from jet lag and was ready to crash. So I decided to head out to the Henry Fonda to see M83.

School of Seven Bells opened for M83. I was actually astonished how well they performed. I'm so use to crappy openers. *coughGIRLTALKOPENERScough*

Chill crowd.

M83 was definitely a mellow show for me. Instead of being surrounded with the usual teens(like myself) that bounce around pushing/crashing/shoving/hitting/fighting...etc, I was actually surrounded by a more mature audience that stood and nodded their heads to the music. Overall, I enjoyed M83 a lot.

I had to leave the show early since it was 12 something and I had no idea how I was going to get home.

$35.
