My Friday night was pretty chill. Everything was VERY last minute, I couldn't decide whether I wanted to go to HARD or the Avalon in Hollywood to see Drop the Lime and Hot Chip dj. Since I wasn't into HARD's Friday lineup(I know, Deadmau5 and 2ManyDjs are awesome!), I decided to meet up with Steph and Dolce at the Avalon...

Drop the Lime's set started pretty early, but luckily I was able to catch most of the set. The whole time I was screaming at him to play 'Set Me Free', he did... the Harvard Bass remix too!

Steph and Dolce left a little bit after Hot Chip started their set. Never seen Hot Chip dj a set before. I was pretty down.

Best costume of the night. Deamau5!

Tonight's adventure took place in Santa Monica, off of Pico. Gino was having a live art gallery not too far from where I work, so I headed out there to meet up with some friends and to enjoy some of Gino's artwork...

The gallery was actually held at Qio.

Once I arrived, I was greeted by Ken. <3 this guy, always see him wherever I go.

I then browsed around and checked out some of Gino's pieces of work.

It was a pretty mellow scene.

A bit later two of my good homies Erica and Steph dropped by.

Erica had this baller fur-like jacket that's incredibly soft. I couldn't resist rubbing it whenever I was next to her... I got weird looks all around. Dgaf...

I then had to take it from her and wear it myself for a bit. It was hard to give it back...

Good times.

Good work, Gino!

To see more pictures, check out the set on my flickr.

This is so fascinating to me. I really want them to do MDMA to see how that effects the brain. <3 learning about drugs(the scientific way).

I got a nice package from YouWorkForThem. I don't really buy clothes anymore but getting some warm sweaters for the colder season was definitely a must...

YouWorkForThem isn't actually a clothing company, it's more of a graphic designer's paradise. They offer tons of tools for the everyday artist. They also have an awesome blog worth viewing HERE.

Meet hilton hammed

The beginning of my night was AMAZING!!! I was actually in West Hollywood to kick it with some friends at Voyeour, a club off of Santa Monica, unfortunately they didn't allow cameras which sucked. But I did happen to meet a really chill guy at the Fountain Liquor & Market. Hilton Hammed is the owner of said liquor store. Once I entered his place, he greeted me with excitement. Dude is awesome and funny!

After joking around, Hilton asked if I could snap some shots of him. Without hesitating, I set the my shutter to match the lighting of the store and I snapped away.

I even got a clip of him, he messed up on the Whoop This! plug, but it's ok!

Then some customers came in and he wanted me to record them as well... So I did.

All this happened just because I wanted to buy some gum. Awesome!

Though I couldn't get in to the grand opening of the Hello Kitty gallery, I decided to take the second trip out to Royal T in Culver City. I was pretty excited to check out all the art in person, it looked pretty awesome(from what I saw online). Check out the pics below!

I really enjoyed the gallery. It's amazing how much work each artist put into their piece, very inspiring! Make sure to roll through to Royal T for the gallery, it ends November 15th I believe.
